I agree, 3.5 million exp is way too much. I've been playing since the beta of prophecies and I don't even have 1 million(think I'm close to 700,000).

Believe it or not, some of the people who play this game like to see the sun on a daily, if not hourly, bases, they have jobs, hobbies, and other things they do in their lives that limits their time on GW, and that doesn't necessarily mean they're n00bs or inexperienced. You don't need 1000 hours to know how to play a game, I should hope you would understand it a bit quicker than that.

The point of the elite missions is that only the elite players manage to complete it. Not that only the elite players are allowed to try

I have spent time building up my character an unlike some only ever play the one. The issues that I raised in my first post are really spoiling the game for me. I believe that I have shown that I am a dedicated player and that I take it very seriously. To have to wait in “The Deep” mission area for on average 30 mins to find what looks to be a good team then spend another 15 mins clearing the first rooms and then to have someone leave, either because they died too easily or think that others in their group are no good is getting beyond a joke now.
Its the alliances of guilds that control elite mission access. To me that suggests that the elite missions were intended for guild groups, not pugs. The top level of PvP in guild wars would be GvG (as its the only one with cash prizes, the other PvP options must be lower level to it), and you dont see pugs there. Why should the top level of PvE be any different ?

Or you could recruit ranked players from PvP who know what they're doing (only if they didnt iway their fame).
